GUIDELINES

ISPOR is strongly committed to diversity. The Society's Strategic Plan and core values embrace excellence through encouragement and acceptance of diverse ideas, cultures, and disciplines. Research submissions are encouraged from all stakeholders and are evaluated based on merit. ISPOR also aims to reflect the diversity of its membership in all endeavors and encourages consideration of diversity in abstract submissions. Diversity dimensions include (but not limited to) gender, career stage, ethnicity, race, education, sexual orientation, region/geographic location, physical disability, and religion. Additional information can be found at the Society's Diversity Policy.

  • Abstract submissions are invited for Research abstracts, Issue Panel proposals, and Workshop proposals.
  • All research abstract, issue panel proposal and workshop proposal submissions and presentations must be in English.
  • All research abstract, issue panel proposal and workshop proposal submissions and presentations must not promote any product or service.
  • Registration is required for all presenters.
  • Expenses associated with submissions and presentations are the responsibility of the presenter.
  • The presenters of research are required to disclose financial support. Abstract review will NOT be based on this information.

Theme-Related Content Encouraged

ISPOR is interested in content related to the conference theme “HEOR: Evolving for Tomorrow’s Challenges”. The following featured areas are encouraged:

  1. Ability and responsibility of HEOR to inform health systems level decisions or challenges in addition to assessing value at the product level
  2. Innovative HEOR methods that extend beyond the status quo in methodology utilization (i.e. multimodal outcomes research)
  3. Relevance of HEOR through expanded and new collaborations (e.g. educating end users – decision makers/assessors – of next generation HEOR analysis/methods)

Case studies and other examples of these featured areas of research are welcomed.

COVID-19 Related Content

The continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic provides many opportunities for HEOR researchers to analyze its effects on individuals, health care, and society. ISPOR welcomes abstracts relating to treatments, vaccines, and other interventions, as well as other health care issues resulting from the pandemic – for example the impact of deferred healthcare for non-COVID issues. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: Economic Evaluation - and its use in healthcare decisions; Modeling, both disease and economic; and COVID specific Clinical Outcomes Assessment including Patient Centered Research; impact on data ‘quality’ due to skewed patient interaction with the healthcare system.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

All abstracts must be submitted through ISPOR's online abstract system via the appropriate button on the right side of this page.
